Music service Pandora reached 200 million users

Music service Pandora says that it has got 200 million registered users in the United States, as competition in the streaming radio business grow up.

"We started this firm to help everyone discover and enjoy music that they love, and to help artists reach and grow their audiences," says Pandora founder Tim Westergren in a statement.

Refer on statement released on Tuesday, the company revealed it doubled its number of registered users in the U.S. in less than two years, hitting the 100 million mark in 2011.

The music service Pandora milestone will arrives as more rivals are moving into the market, including Rafio and Spotify. Last week, CNet reported Apple is close to deals with two major music labels to stream tunes for their own Web service.
